We would say Sagrada Familia is one of a must-visit place in Barcelona for those who appreciate buildings, art and architecture. You can definitely enjoy the façade of the building from the across the nearby road, but we would recommend you to take a tour inside.
It needs to be reminded that a very long queue should be expected if you haven’t had your pre-book ticket. We wouldn’t risk a chance for a walk-in ticket. It may keep you hours and hours of waiting.
You can buy the tickets online (click here to buy) or get it at a nearby kiosk if you’re already in Barcelona. There are several tour options available and we’ve chosen the Sagrada Familia tour with audio guide including visit to the towers (cost you €24.00 per person). With this ticket, you are given access to the towers; Nativity and Passion.
We booked for the first morning session which was at 9.00am. Well, don’t worry if you haven’t had your ticket printed as the ticketmaster can also scan the barcodes from your smartphone or tablets.
At the end of the tour we both agreed that it’s too tragic that Antonio Gaudi, the architect, passed-away before he can finish this building. Otherwise, who knows how much more grandiose it may have been looked today. We were glad that we signed up for the audio guide. It turned out to be very much helpful and informative.
You may scroll down for the photos as the fascination towards this particular Gaudi’s masterpiece is beyond words.
